He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Miller and Helen Miller (Lodahl); his uncles, William "Bill" Miller and Floyd Storey; his cousin Robert Overby; and his in-laws, Donny, Bev Jensen, Basil, Agnes Ledman, John Herlitzka, Jim Brueggeman and Lori Sage.

He is survived by: his wife Vicki Sue Miller; his children, Joel Miller (Sara) of Hayward, WI, Todd Miller (Marilyn) of Fort Wayne, IN, Chase Miller (Olga) of Rotunda West, FL and Stacey Miller of Olathe, KS; his foster daughter Diana Libke of Janesville, WI; his siblings, Jerry Miller (Jan) of La Crosse, WI, Mary "Peach" Herlitzka of La Crescent, MN and Tommy Miller (Jill) of Viroqua, WI; his former wife Lynn Miller of La Crosse, WI; his sisters-in-law, Lisa Light (Drew) of Cincinnati, OH and Leah Brueggeman of La Crosse, WI; and his cousins, Barb Kampa (Vic) and Norma Overby. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the The Gathering Place (133 Mason St, Onalaska, WI 54650).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Family & Children's Center, The Parenting Place, West Salem First Responders, or a charity of the donor's choice.

“My deepest condolences to Vicky and the entire Miller family. I worked with Rich back in the 80s and his smile and friendship was so needed for a young new social worker. My husband Eric and I, along with Rich and Vicky, Jim and Mary, did a murder mystery evening at some B&B up north. Rich was hilarious!!! That's what I'll remember. RIP friend! Warm hug to Vicky.
