He was predeceased by: his parents, John Degnan and Kathryn Degnan (Logelin); and his brother James Degnan. He is survived by: his siblings, Ruth McIntyre (Dan), John Degnan and Barbara Leoni (Danny); and his nephew Christopher Degnan.

Running into Paul at Hansen's IGA or in downtown West Salem was always a positive experience. My wife, Ilene, and I were always happy to hear about Paul's most recent experiences. He was always very friendly and cheerful. I know that he will be greatly missed by the people in West Salem who know him.”
