He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Ira and Adella Ira; his brother Norbert Ira; his uncle Martin; and his aunt Hattie Frana.
He is survived by: his son Mark Ira (Lisa); his wife Laura Berg; his children, Mike Ira and Shelly Sagert (Dan); his stepsons, Daniel Hohmann (Penny) and Donald Hohmann (Stacy); his grandchildren, Garrett Sagert, Jake, Kylie Ira, Dylan Hohmann, Nikki Severson, Stephanie Waletzki (Jamie), Douglas Hohmann (Desiree) and Dalton Hohmann (Cheyanne); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jaiden, Jaxson Severson, Scarlet, Lane Waletzki, Kayden and Brayden Hohmann; and his sister-in-law Lyla Ira.
After retirement, Norm volunteered at the American Red Cross and drove for RSVP for seventeen years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and may be given to the St. Teresa of Kokata Parish Building Fund.
