Melvin L. Kuschel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin L. Kuschel of West Salem, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 28, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kuschel and Gertrude Kuschel; his wife Karen Larson; his brother Harold; his sister-in-law Therese; his sister Leoda "Jean" (Daniel Spensieri); his stepmother Irene Sedivy Larson; and also, Bonnie Peaslee, Fay, Robert "Bob" Larson (Dorothy), James "Jim" Larson, Ann Lemke and John.
He is survived by: his brother Glenn (Sharon) of South Dakota; his siblings-in-law, Mary Larson and Palmer "Butch" Larson (Ruth Ann); his children, Dave (Doreen) of La Crosse, Sue Friell (David) of West Salem, Sally Peterson (Mark) of Stoddard, Jim (Anne) of La Crosse, Glen (Sue) of Melvina, Rich (Meg) of Springfield, IL, Sheryl Burns (Shawn) of Plymouth, MN and John of Stoddard; his grandchildren, Greg Peterson (Karen), Brett Friell (Katerina), Matt Friell, Brandon Friell (Ali) of Molly Vanderloop, A. J., Zach Kuschel (Emily), Carrie Kuschel, Emmy Kuschel, Katie Kuschel, Chris Burns and Katie Burns; and his great grandchildren, Abby Peterson, Eleanor Friell, Kaylee Kuschel, Noah Kuschel, Evee Kuschel, Elam Kuschel, Finn Kuschel and Aria Kuschel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the church would be preferred or to Luther High School in Onalaska.
