He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Altschwager and Hattie Altschwager; his wife Kay; and his brothers, Rodney and Marvin.
He is survived by: his children, Carl (Nancy) of Amarillo, Texas, Gail of Granby, Connecticut and Mark (Debbie) of Canton, Connecticut; and his grandchildren, Bethany of New Jersey and Michael of Connecticut.
