He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex James, Sr. and Olive May Slick; and his siblings, Rex Slick (Jim), Betsy Slick Olsen, Nelda Slick St. George and Nora Slick Parenteau.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Slick; and his children, Connie Schermerhorn Gross, Anne Schermerhorn Richardson (Schermerhorn Miller), Thomas Schermerhorn (Christine), David Slick (Julie) and Beth Slick Sablay (Kevin). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
