He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Koontz and Ruth Koontz; his wife Judith Nash Koontz; and his siblings, Bryan Koontz and Sherry Koontz Pachciarz.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Kay, Ken Koontz (Heidi) and Kathleen Wiesner (Dave); his grandchildren, Jordan Craft (Alan), Colton Wiesner (Brandi Bohlman), Megan, Travis Wiesner, Austin Koontz and Quentin Deibel; his great grandchild Justin Craft; his sisters, Maureen Koehl (Rick) and Dixie Brunner (Dennis); and his sister-in-law Lana Koontz (James Jones). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
