He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Vorpahl and Minnie Vorpahl; his siblings, Beatrice Fellenz (Ben), Lois Breitkreutz (Lee), Doris Vorpahl and Charles Vorpahl; his siblings-in-law, Marvin Berndt, Leonard Redinger, Paul Lochen, Ronald Klos and Kathy Lochen; his siblings, Elizabeth, Ellen, Karl and Evan; and his godson Jeff Lochen.

He is survived by: his wife Rachel Lochen; his children, Daniel (Diane) and Debra Muehlius (Todd); his grandchildren, Jason Gibson (Lucy) of Tallahassee, FL, Brittney Cornelius (Jacob) of Cascade, WI and Courtney Castro (Conrad); his great grandchildren, Ava, Adrian Castro, Dominic Cornelius and Sienna Gibson; his sister Ann Redinger; and his siblings-in-law, Roy Lochen (Lois), David Lochen, Jean Vorpahl, Rose Ann Klos and Rita Lochen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
