He was predeceased by: his parents, Janice Schmitt (Wolf) and Robert Schmitt; his siblings, Elizabeth Wollman (Liz) and Peter Schmitt; his father-in-law Gerald "Jerry" Shulka; his stepfather-in-law Ken Nelson; and his mother-in-law Sandy Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Angel Shukla; his sons, Timothy (Rebecca Frank) and William (Brittany Timblin); his grandsons, Henry and Beau; his siblings, Cindy Knoll (Scott) and Kenny Schmitt (Rachelle); his brothers-in-law, John Wollman and Tony Shukla; and his nieces and nephews, Ryan Schmitt (Sarah), Adam Schmitt (Heather Stange), Kendall, Sawyer and Mason Shulka.
