He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Patterson and Orleane Patterson; and his wife Sandra "Sandy" Patterson of John's Lutheran Church. He is survived by: his children, Kris Hobbs (Butch) of Oshkosh, Mindy Julian (Todd) of Arizona, Mike Patterson (Julie) of Mukwonago, Scott Patterson (Leah Ritchie) of Appleton, Thomas Boettcher, Jr. (April) of New London, Steve Holland (Kari) of West Bend and Rhonda LeMay (Bob) of West Bend; his grandchildren, Ashley Hobbs (Nick Munro), Mandy Dickrell (Scott), Adam Hobbs, Brianna (Kendall), Allie, Kiana Julian, Joey, Andrew, Elizabeth Patterson, Shelby Birkholz (Nathan), Allison, Caleb Patterson, Thomas Boettcher III (Amanda), Cassie Kimmerling (Michael), Natasha Bailey, Nathan Boettcher, DJ George, Logan Boettcher, Kayla, Jenna, Kyle Holland, Jeremy Cook, Paris and Bowen LeMay; his great grandchildren, Caden Munro, Olive Hobbslee, Zara, Lucy, Lincoln Munro, Kennedy, Reid Dickrell, Amelia Birkholz, Trinity, Tidus, Olivia Boettcher, Thomas (TJ), Penelope Kimmerling, Cooper, Trevor Noenning, Sawyer, Wynter Bailey, Nova Leigh Boettcher and Gracelynn Holland; his grandson Cayden James LeMay; his great grandchild Quinten Loki Boettcher; his siblings, Don Patterson (Carole) and Nancy Beasley (Harold); and also, Shirley, Arlene, Dorothy, Carol, Linda, Butch, Richard, Thomas and Kenneth.
