In loving memory of Joan Marie Fechter (West Bend, Wisconsin), who departed this world on November 2, 2024 at the age of 90. Joan leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Kolbach and Rose Kolbach; her husband Edward Fechter; and her siblings, Marie Lemanczyk, Henry Kolbach (Hank) and Esther.

She is survived by: her children, Marvin Fechter (Debra Buchholz), Debra Sanfilippo (Joe) and Randy (Sherry). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S 7th Ave, West Bend, WI 53095). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

I would personally like to extend my sympathies to your entire family, Joanie was one of a kind....I will always treasure the memories of her being my neighbor as well as my friend...May God comfort you thru the griefing process but hoping it helps to know she is now reacquainted with many of her friends and relatives....
