He was predeceased by: his father Gordon Praefke; and his brother-in-law Michael Taraboi Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Mary; his wife Susy; his children, Wyatt and Elisabeth; and his siblings, Carson Praefke, Barbara Praefke, Kathryn Spaude (James), Kurt Willer (Connie), Mary Beth Waters (Rick) and James Willer (Karen). He is also survived by nephews, many friends.
