With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet R. Bastian of West Bend, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 16, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilbert Dobberpuhl and Alice Dobberpuhl (Wagner); her former spouses, Burdet "Bud" Griep and Rufus Giese; her husband Curtis Bastian; her brother Ronald Dobberpuhl of Horicon; her children, Gordon Griep and Lois; her children-in-law, Keith Schoenike and Coralli Griep; and her siblings-in-law, Ann Dobberpuhl, Berniece, Lester Eberle, LaVern, Arlene Griep, Louis, Viola Griep, Richard, Amanda Giese, Harvey and Erna Bastian.
She is survived by: her cousin Marion; her children, During, Joann Sabel (Denny) of Fond, Tom Griep (Jeanne) of Mayville and Norman Griep of Watertown; her grandchildren, Julie Roehrig (Jeff) of Fond, Lac, Brian Sabel (Brandy) of Marinette and Jessica Boylen (Gary) of Suamico; her great grandchildren, Emily, Megan Roehrig, Nick, Kayla, Riley, Lily Sabel, Charlie and Jensen Boylen; her niece Sara Dobberpuhl of Howards Grove; her goddaughter Nancy Leystra (Willwock) of Mayville; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Wiesner, Bernice Bastian and Donna Dahlinger. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
