He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Martell and Katherine Martell; his wife Rita Muscha; his son Ricky; and his siblings, Isabel, Joseph Jr., Raymond and Julius.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Dixson (Mark) of Lewes, DE, Dwight (Patricia) of Eagan, MN, Robert (Jackie) of Galesburg, MI and Diane Griffith (Jeff) of Eden Prairie, MN.; his grandchildren, Danielle Durham (Pippa), Nicole Rhett (Justin), Annika Martell, Cydney Haase (TJ), Riley Martell, Shelby Martell, Connor Hussong and Taylor Hussong; his stepgrandson Anthony Dixson; his great grandchildren, River Durham, Ocean Durham, Isabella Rhett and Luca Rhett; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Trent Dixson and Tate Dixson.
