He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schleif and Erna Rusch Schleif; his son David; and his siblings, Phillip, Gladys, Ross and Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Philip, Gladys, Ross, Charles, James (Beverly), William (Laurie), Paul (Deborah) and Elizabeth Schleif; his grandchildren, Mitchell (Jennifer), Erin Schleif, Cyrus Roat (Stevie Koepp), Meredith Roat (Eric Buck), Eliana Schleif, Lucas Gleason Lang and Ashely Ingish (Matt); his great grandchildren, Burton, Hazel, Evie, Cooper and Kinlee; his brother Neal (Evelyn "Tooty"); his cousins, Tom Schleif (Joni), Judy Price, Janet Schuster and Sharon Thomas; his friends, Meg Rediess and Tony LaPenna; and also Paul. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
