Walter R. Schwartz MD Obituary
Walter R. Schwartz MD died peacefully on October 4, 2024. Beloved husband of June for 62 years until her passing in 2018. Loving father of Linda Hutchins and Richard Schwartz. Grandfather of Joshua (Ruth) Hutchins, Johanna (Ryan Adamsons) Hutchins, William (Natalie Pannemann) Schwartz, and Steven Schwartz. Great Grandpa of Anne, Timothy, and Stephen Hutchins. He was preceded in death by son John (Sandy Grivett) Schwartz and son-in-law Douglas Hutchins.
Dr. Schwartz graduated from UW-Madison Medical School in 1955 and after serving as a medical officer in the army began his work in obstetrics and gynecology. He delivered over 5, 000 babies throughout his career before retiring in 1994. He enjoyed traveling throughout the world with June and spending time with his family.
Visitation is on Thursday, October 19, 2024 at Apostle Presbyterian Church, 1509 S. 76th Street, West Allis from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
