He is survived by: his spouse Charlyn Hurst; his children, Wendy Matuszewski (Charles), Karen Aschenbrenner (John Carter), Brian Krug (James) and Jennifer Krug (Eddie); his siblings, Alice Phillips and Robert Hurst (Micki); and also, Judy Hurst, Dee Hurst and Katie Elmer. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, West Allis, WI.
