He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Hebein; his parents, Roy and Loraine; his sister Corrine; his parents-in-law, Jacob and Jennie Hebein; and his siblings-in-law, Rev. James Hebein, Joseph Hebein and Audrey Hebein.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Mehrwerth (Joseph), Karin Strubel (Jeffrey), Danny Benzinger (Carrie), Julie Schroeder (RC) and Michael Benzinger (Rebecca Biskupski); his grandchildren, Stephanie (Paul), Steve (Samantha), Jacki, Ryan, Jake (Melissa), Jeremy (Dana), Alec, Samantha, Matt, Ben, Andrew, Anthony, Michel, Lukas, Jack, Emma and Edwyn; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Colin, Zachary, Greyson, Lucille and Brynlee; and his brothers, Mark (Carol), Joseph (Sharrie) and Peter Hebein (Sheila). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and longtime friends.
