He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Otto Hagen and Elizabeth Sara Hagen; his wife Tami Hagen; his children, Joshua and Jessica; his daughter-in-law Jodi; his grandchildren, Amelia, Hudson and Camilla; his extended family, Walt Hagen, Tim Hagen (Sarah), Grayce Kalstad, Sherman Hagen (Florence), Sandi Hunsader (Nick), Pamela Langness, Carey Jones (Steve), Tim Langness (Babette), Terry Langness and Tyron Langness (Dana); his children, Grace Hagen, Camilla Langness, Jody Moehling and Joan Langness; and also Jodi.

In lieu of flowers, John's charity of choice is Achieve Services, a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities to adults with disabilities and in which Tami is the chairman of the board.
