MILWAUKEE-Born to Eternal Life on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Age 64. Loving father of Jessica Jacobs Johnson and Andrea (Clint) Anderson and grandfather to Madison, Maxwell and Willow. Dear brother of Lee (Martha), Marybeth (Marc) Balkovich, Susan Hirthe, Patty (Bob) Steiner and Peggy Jacobs (Scott Vanderboom). Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Jacobs and his sister, Anne Jacobs.
Visitation Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00am until Time of Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 10121 W. North Avenue, Wauwatosa. Private interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Marquette High Scholarship Program appreciated.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas M. Jacobs, 64, on January 4th 2024. He left this world too soon.
Born November 26, 1958 in Milwaukee WI. Tommy was the fourth child (of seven) for James and Mary Jacobs (Lynch). He attended elementary school at St. Bernards School and graduated from Marquette High school in 1978. Tommy attended UW Eau Claire and then transferred to UW-Stout where he completed his bachelors degree in Vocational Rehabilitation. His passion was helping people with disabilities. Tommy worked in the vocational rehabilitation field for several years helping to support people with disabilities in employment. He worked for a pharmacy selling wheelchair equipment for several years. He then worked for the Veteran Disability Services in Milwaukee.
Tommy played basketball at St. Bernards and at Marquette High. He also played wheelchair basketball. He had a love for basketball, baseball and football. There were many endearing names for Tommy. Best known as Dad, Jakes, TJ, Uncle TBone, Bommer and Tom. He made everyone he met feel very important and was a very good "friend".
Tommy will be dearly missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Please join us in honoring the life of Tommy as we celebrate the impact he had on our lives.
