In Loving Memory of Theresia Ulrich, born September 9, 1936. She was Born to Eternal Life peacefully at her own home on March 4, 2022 at the age of 85 years. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 47 years, John Ulrich. Devoted mother to her daughters Maria (Richard) Kurutz and Elizabeth Ulrich, beloved Grandma to Susan Kurutz (Curtis Drolshagen) and Thomas Kurutz and 'Oma'- Great Grandma to Layla Drolshagen. Also survived by sister-in-law Maria Ulrich, niece Anna (Todd) Fessenbecker , nephew Joe (Cindy) Ulrich, great-niece Suzie (Shawn) Pingel and great-nephew Joey Ulrich.
Born in Aparhant, Hungary to Andrew and Theresia (nee Keller). At age 12, Theresia's father went to war. During the war, she and her mother were forced from their home, to move to Germany. While separated from his family by war, her father was granted immigration to the US, from an American prison camp which was sponsored by Hungarian family members who were already living in the US. Theresia didn't see her father again until she was 17 when the family was reunited. Her father became a US citizen and was allowed to bring his wife and daughter to live with him in Milwaukee. Terry was a very good student, who loved to read. She helped others learn English and study for their citizenship exams.
Her dad soon introduced her to her future husband, John. They were inseparable until John passed in 2004. During those 47 years, they had 2 daughters, Maria, and Elizabeth and 2 grandchildren Susie and Tommy. Terry helped John in the family Meat Market and Liquor Store until 1985. Terry became a proud Great Grandma in 2022 with the arrival of Layla.
Terry loved baking delicious treats like apple strudel and nut rolls and prepared homemade German and Hungarian specialty dishes. She devoted herself to her family and they adored spending time with her. Many family trips and events were shared and enjoyed together. Terry was compassionate and considerate and tried to do her best for everyone. She was generous with her time, talent, and treasure. Her positive outlook, gracious manner, and loving ways will be deeply missed by all. In the words she spoke to everyone leaving her home, "Come home safely.", we hope and pray that she too has now "Come home safely."
Heartfelt Thanks to all her Doctors, Nurses and Staff and especially to her live-in caregiver, Angelica Kulick from The Good People, who truly was her Angel.
