Robert E. Gipp Obituary
We are deeply saddened to say good bye to Robert Gipp. He died on February 28, 2022 at St Luke's Hospital. He was born January 22, 1982, in Frankfurt, Germany at the US Army 97th General Hospital. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert W Gipp and grandmother Patsy Sabourin.
Robert attended Brookfield Central High School where he played on the football team. He joined the Army Reserve in 2004; completed basic training at Fort Knox, KY and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, VA . Robert came home and started college at Milwaukee Area Technical College but felt the call for active military service. He served in the Active Army from 2007 to 2011. He spent most of his active duty stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia, except for a one-year combat tour in Iraq.
Robert enjoyed sporting events and concerts with his friends, traveling, and especially talking and visiting with his daughter McKenna. She was the light of his life and he always beamed with pride when talking about her. Robert was always able to make people laugh and see the humor in almost everything. His wit and slant on the world will be greatly missed.
He was loved and cherished by many people including his daughter McKenna, father Kenneth Gipp (Susan), mother Monique Krainz (Philip), and sister Angelique (Patrick).
He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will also be missed by his many friends and fellow servicemembers.
Friendship and visitation will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. The Catholic funeral service will commence at 6:00pm. The service will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 734 Glenview Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53213.
There will be a private internment for the immediate family at Union Grove Veterans' Cemetery on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
