She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Tandberg and Thora Tandberg; her sister Barbara Ekins (Ekins); and her brother-in-law John Kastner, Sr. (Beverly Zabler). She is survived by: her sister Susan Kastner (Kastner); her brother-in-law John Ekins; her nieces, Tammy Tandberg (Jeff O'Dell) and Maribeth Schaefer (Ryan Schaefer); her grandchildren, Jas and Sam Schaefer; and her close friends, Cindy Donahoe, Sarah Weltzein and Jan Stemplewski.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Alioto's Restaurant (3041 N Mayfair Rd, Wauwatosa, WI 53222).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to National Public Radio in her honor, either to your local station or through.
