She was predeceased by: her husband James M. Cosgrove; her parents, Alonzo H. Birdsong and Mable P. Birdsong; her sister Phyllis Blahna; and her brothers-in-law, John Blahna and Gerald Herbst Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Cosgrove and Karen Shore (Ken); her grandchildren, Kara Banger (Matthew), Ryan Shore (Hilary) and Hailey Shore; her great grandchildren, Joey and Sammy Shore; and her sister Lois Herbst. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
