Marcella A. Neal Obituary
Marcella Ann Neal, age 79, entered eternal life on Monday morning, February 24, 2025, at her residence.
Marcella (Marcy) was born on February 26, 1945, in Oxford, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth Murray Bresnahan Sr. Her mother died when she was six years old and Marcy was placed into foster care, where she lived in multiple homes in Milwaukee, WI. When she was 12, Marcy was welcomed into the Pat and Jean Gleason family, where she grew up as a teenager, attended Washington High School and graduated with the class of 1963. She was married to Dennis Drought for 20 years and had two wonderful children, Kelly and Brian. Marcy enjoyed time with her children, cherished their family dinners, played guitars, and had fun posing for holiday pictures with funny props. Marcy and Dennis parted ways, but stayed connected throughout the years.
Marcy met Wes Neal and they were married for 32 years, until his passing. They enjoyed fishing, watching movies and spending time with family. Her family grew with the welcoming of Wes' children, grandchildren, and extended family. Marcy provided great care for Wes before his passing.
Marcy was very close to her children and always called Kelly "her little bug.". Shortly after her husband's passing, Marcy had to endure the pain of Kelly's death and pushed through this challenging time the best she could. Her son Brian has always been there for Marcy and visited her every Saturday throughout all the years.
Marcy owned her own business, Marcy's Typing Service, which employed several subcontractors to complete services in medical transcription. She enjoyed working with Dr. Jeffrey Gorelick for over 30 years.
Marcy also had a passion for music and dancing. She would go to the Legion, where she would dance and listen to music on Friday and Saturday nights. She particularly liked 60's music. At the Legion, she met wonderful new friends that she could spend time with and enjoy life. It was there she met her dear friend Steve, and they continued to dance to their favorite bands for many years. As her health declined, she weakened and was unable to walk, and Steve lovingly cared for her until her passing.
We will all miss Marcy dearly, especially her bubbly personality, positive outlook, and love for life.
She is survived by her son Brian, her two nieces, Pam Olson and Patty Darling, and stepchildren Steve Neal, Tim Neal, Julie Schmidt, along with many other relatives and friends.
