John Michael McDonald Obituary
WAUWATOSA - Born to Eternal Life on October 24, 2022, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Barb (Nee Mazza). Loving father of Bridget (Tim) O'Brien and Erin McDonald. Proud grandpa of John, Mia, and Bella O'Brien. Dear brother of the late Jim (Gail), Tom (Marge), Kathy (Ron) Nicholas, Mary (Mike) Wall, Paul (Allison) and Andy (Wanda), and brother-in-law of Chuck (the late Mary) Mazza, Marie Schick, Dennis (Carol) Mazza, Marge (Randy) Schumann, and Teri (Herb) Gross. Also survived by numerous caring nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
John was a Vietnam Army veteran recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. He was a 30 year plus retired Milwaukee Journal Sentinel employee and was an avid sports fan and gardener. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sports events and loved his Zumba Community. John was a generous, kind, loving soul whose wit and humor will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation will on Thursday October 27, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Wauwatosa from 4 PM to 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday October 28, at 10:00 AM at CHRIST KING CATHOLIC CHURCH 2646 N. Swan Blvd. Wauwatosa. Followed by Full Military Honors outside the church. Memorials to The Hunger Task Force are appreciated.
