Jasper Paul Szews Obituary

Passed away peacefully on August 31, 2022. JP was 32 years old. Born January 31, 1990, JP was a native of Wauwatosa, WI and he graduated from Marquette University High School in 2008.

JP was truly a "man for others". As the eldest of 8 kids, he always acted as a leader and caregiver to his younger siblings. A passionate cook and gardener, JP was the designated turkey fryer every year at Thanksgiving and his cherry tomato harvest from this summer seems to be endless. His special love for his childhood group of buddies and his band of younger brothers were a light in his life. JP spent his last couple days scouting the Kettle Moraine State Forest Park for an epic campsite where he was planning to camp with brothers and friends.

JP was preceded in death by his Godfather and Uncle James Jansen, Grandma Judi Jansen and Grandpa Dickby Jansen. He is survived by his parents, Jennifer and Paul, his siblings, Christy (Sam) Sladky, Molly (Henry) Kuranz, Tommy, Joe, Peter, Sam, and Jimmy, his grandparents, Al and Margo. Further survived by his aunts and uncles, Mary and Barrett, Tom and Audrey, Maribeth, Ellen and Rob, his cousins, Emily, Kelly, Brett, Ambrose, Mac, Matt, Jon, Michael and Andrew, and his beloved dog Ada. He was also a most wonderful Uncle/Jester for his favorite nephew, "King Richard.". Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, from 4 PM until time of Memorial Mass at 5:30 PM at Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 734 Glenview Ave. Wauwatosa.
