It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Lauer of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 12, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her parents, Dr. Elmer and Lila Gramling; her siblings, Ruth Gramling Weber and John Gramling (Patricia); and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen Lauer Kessenich (Richard) and Thomas Lauer.
She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Caulkins (Daniel), Susan Childs (William), Robert J. Lauer, Jr. (Kathryn), Joseph Lauer and Mary Elisa Lauer; her grandchildren, Rachel Wilcox (Brian), Joseph Caulkins (Jessica), David Caulkins (Nellie), Rebecca, William, Madeline Childs, Anne Castro (Christopher), Theresa Kapke (Jonathan), Martha Kinnen (Drew), Sarah (Jon-Ross Crow) and Robert J. Lauer III; her great grandchildren, Ophelia, Kean Wilcox, Charles Caulkins, Raleigh Caulkins, Nicolas, Isabel Castro, Norah, Leo Kapke and Theo Crow; her sisters, Edie Bonness (late James) and Betty Muegge (Richard); and her sister-in-law Jane Lauer (late Thomas). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Because of COVID-19, visitation, the Mass of Christian Burial and graveside services will all be private.
