Gerald E. Ward Obituary
Wauwatosa - Passed from this world on March 21, 2022, aged 96, to join his beloved wife Claire. Dearly loved by his children Keith and Anita Ward, Marianne and Gary Melka, Jeanne Watson, and Susan and James McCormick, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Born in Milwaukee, Jerry served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 - 1945. After service he finished his schooling and joined the Milwaukee Road Railroad as a caller clerk, working there for nearly 30 years before retirement.
A man of simple tastes, Jerry was pleased by a well-made meal, a well-tended garden, a well-fed hummingbird, but most of all by a day well-spent fishing. He was good-hearted, good-natured, kind, and generous. The best of men, Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 10AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12130 W. Center St. in Wauwatosa. Private Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
