Faith Alyce Lewis Obituary
Faith Alyce Lewis, age 25, of Wauwatosa found her peace on September 3, 2022. She was born in Memphis, TN on April 30, 1997 to Vicki Schreiber and Kelvin Lewis. Faith moved to Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 1 1/2 and lived where her mom worked in the residence hall of Southeast Missouri State University for three years before moving off campus and starting school. She would bring a smile to the faces of students as she walked or rode her tricycle down the hallway stopping in random rooms with their doors open. At the age of 7, she moved to Laredo, TX for a brief time before moving near family in Wisconsin at the age of 9. She spent a year in Sheboygan living and playing with her cousins before moving to Wauwatosa to attend McKinley Elementary, Longfellow Middle, and then graduating from Wauwatosa West High School in 2015. She was active in the Wauwatosa West Marching Band, participating in music festivals and playing percussion in the orchestra pit for school musicals. She also spent a short time on the tennis team. While in high school and into college, Faith participated in the Daley Debutantes Drum and Baton Corps before retiring as Drum Captain in 2017.
After graduation, Faith attended Alverno College and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology minoring in Music Performance. While at Alverno she was the vocal percussionist for the a cappella group and worked at the Alverno College library while interning at North Cape Elementary School and Walker's Point Youth and Family Center. After graduation, Faith started her Master's Degree program at Cardinal Stritch University, being only a few credits shy of becoming a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She was a proud member of the clinical team at the Bakari Center in Milwaukee. She enjoyed working with and mentoring youth in these various environments.
In her free time, you would often see Faith skateboarding or riding her BMX bike through West Allis or Wauwatosa, playing with her drumsticks on anything that could be used as a drum, playing Call of Duty with friends across the world, or volunteering at Second Hand Purrs cat shelter. She loved to paint and spend time with any cats, but specifically her cats Suzie and Xavi.
Faith is survived by her parents Vicki Schreiber of Wauwatosa, WI and Kelvin Lewis of Knoxville, TN; her cat Xavi, siblings Keisha Lewis Scott and her child Katherine; Jaleel Douglas (Sharra) Lewis and their children Jaleel and Kaleel; Jazmine Scott; Aaliyah Lewis and her child Amayah; Noah Lewis, and Hannah Lewis.
