Eva C. Jarrell Obituary

Eva C. Jarrell, 93, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022 at her home in Wauwatosa, WI. Born to Francis and Eunice (Woodruff) Calley on December 30, 1928 in Huntington, WV, Eva graduated from Huntington High School, and attended Marshall University in Huntington and Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. She married David Gideon Jarrell on July 18, 1950. Despite time spent living in Alexandria, VA, Dayton, OH, Santa Rosa, CA, and Wauwatosa, WI, Eva's heart remained in her hometown of Huntington.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Eleanor "Sweetie" Cross of August, GA, her children, David Jarrell (Michielle) of El Dorado Hills, CA, Calley Savage (Mark) of Menomonee Falls, WI, and Jane McSweeney (Patrick) of Milwaukee, WI. Her grandchildren are Sean Weatherwax, Kelly Weatherwax (Mike Bromberger), Jane Savage, Stephen Savage (Betsy), David McSweeney and John McSweeney. Eva's great-grandchildren are Dean Savage Moyer, Mia Savage, Nic Savage, Lucas Bromberger and Levi Bromberger. She also is survived by nieces and nephews.

Eva is remembered for her volunteer work, outgoing nature, sense of humor and welcoming spirit. The family thanks Lana Evans for her dedication through the pandemic and Eva's final days, and the care extended by the Luther Manor Hospice staff. Memorial donations may be made to Luther Manor (Wauwatosa, WI), West Granville Presbyterian Church (Milwaukee, WI) or the charity of one's choice. Services are pending. Eva will be interred at Huntington Memorial Park Huntington, WV.
