Elizabeth Mary Sohnle Obituary
Age 77 of Wauwatosa died on July 2, 2024, at her home. She was born in Scotland on March 16, 1947, to Kenneth and Marion Atkinson. Elizabeth trained as a nurse and received her RN degree from McGill University School of Nursing; she worked at hospitals in New York and Virginia before coming to Milwaukee where she spent most of her nursing career at St. Joseph's Hospital. After retiring from nursing, she became an accomplished photographer and delighted in taking photos of nature scenes, her people, and particularly her beagles. Elizabeth is survived by her husband Peter, her children George (Julie) Sohnle, Amy (Dave) Tamburrino, and Peter (Karen) Sohnle, and her seven grandchildren Hannah, Ella, Kate, Helen, George, Maddie, and Mason. Visitation with the family will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10 AM until the time of Memorial Service at 11 AM at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home 10121 W. North Avenue, Wauwatosa, WI 53226.
