He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Elmer and Erna Elmer; his brothers, Robert Ellmer and Roland Elmer; and his wife Lorraine.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy Wrick (Steve), Robert Elmer and Donna Lawrenz; his grandchildren, Sara Elmer, Anne Elmer, Jacob Elmer, Stephan Lawrenz and Lorraine Lawrenz; and his great grandchildren, Jaylyn and Jordin Elmer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
