Diane M. Springer Obituary
Passed away on March 5, 2024, at age 68. Loving wife of Ricky for 49 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Denise, her brother Mike (Janet) Snyder, her dog Goliath and granddog Isla, and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Eunice (Quevy) Snyder and Milo F. Snyder, Jr.
Diane spent much of the past 25 years volunteering her time to help others. Whether it was helping out at Luther Manor (which started after both of her parents moved there separately), or working with a local dalmatian rescue. At Luther Manor, she helped with anything that was asked of her – whether it was baking food for fundraisers, helping residents get from one place to another, or helping pick out toys for Toys For Tots. With the rescue, she did it all – gave her time and home as a foster home, helping out with transports (for the dalmatian rescue and for numerous other dog rescues across the country), to taking over as one of the group's directors. During her time with the rescue (until it shut down a few years ago), Diane helped save over 400 dogs, at least half of which ended up at her house for fostering, medical care, or just a stop on their journey.
She was also devoted to her family. She helped to care for her parents and her father-in-law in their final days. She also made sure that her family knew that she loved them, even on the hard days.
A funeral service will be held for Diane on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Schmidt & Bartelt, 10121 W North Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53226. Visitation begins at 10am, with a service following at 11am. Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005 will take place at 2pm.
