Diana Krumenauer Obituary
Diana Krumenauer (nee Sugden) was born to eternal life on July 8th at the age of 70 after a brave two year battle with brain cancer.
Beloved wife of Neil for 45 years. Loving mother to Laura (Jeff). Cherished Grandma Dee Dee to Micah and Noah. Devoted daughter to Ralph and Mary. Sister to Michael, Richard, and Janice (Charlie). Sister in law to Jim, Judy (Greg), and Sue (John). Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Diana graduated from Sun Prairie High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Diana's life was all about service to others. She spent her career working as a special education teacher ensuring that students with disabilities would find a way to be successful. She and Neil were active parish members at their church St. Pius X.
Diana loved her family and friends. She enjoyed hosting gatherings in her home or chatting with a friend on the front porch. Her social calendar was full of activities with friends from all different stages of her life. She looked forward to planning family get togethers and always found opportunities to bring people together. Diana's grandsons, or her "sunshine boys", as she called them, brought her such immense joy.
A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, July 13th at St. Pius X Church, 2506 Wauwatosa Ave, Wauwatosa, WI at 11am. Family will greet friends and relatives from 9:30am until the time of service.
The family would like to thank the Froedtert Neuro Oncology team, specifically Dr. Jennifer Connelly, as well as the many friends who brought coffee, scones, cards and encouragement, and Cabby, who lovingly cared for Diana in her final weeks.
This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it Psalm 118:24.
