Cindy Wollemann Obituary
Cindy Wollemann (nee Bruhl), loving wife and mother, left us far too soon at the age of 57 on March 6th, 2024.
Cindy will be missed dearly by so many. She is survived by her husband, Gary Wollemann, daughters Heidi (Nick) Ertman and Sara Wollemann. She is also survived by her father-in-law Paul Wollemann, sister Susan (Gene) Lang, and nieces Tina (Dan) Powell and Melissa (Wayne, "Butch") Zwicker. She became "Tante" to Mariah, Aaron, Cameron, Zachary, Benjamin, and Ethan, whom she loved so much. She is preceded in death by her mother, Waltraud Bruhl (nee Welter), father Kurt Bruhl, mother-in-law Sylvia Wollemann (nee Maki), and brother Raymond Bruhl.
Cindy was born in Milwaukee, WI and has always been known for her beautiful smile, caring personality, and the biggest heart, among so many other things. She was madly in love with her husband Gary throughout their 37 years of marriage. She was also a devoted and doting mother. She was a caregiver to her late father and mother and always put her family first. Her daughters continue her devotion of caring for others.
Cindy was such a caring and loving light for so many. She absolutely loved to bake, and she would make sure everyone's sweet cravings were covered. She inherited a green thumb from her late mother, who everyone knew as "Oma.". She was known for having the most beautiful garden on the block and Gary always made sure Cindy had fresh flowers in the house. Some of her favorites were lilies, lilacs, roses, and hydrangeas. Cindy also loved the Christmas season. Her daughters referred to her as Mrs. Claus as the house exploded with Christmas decorations, the smell of dozens of cookies, and the sound of holiday music.
Cindy also was a hard and dedicated worker. She worked for M&I and BMO Harris Bank for 38 years and was a top performer in her most recent role as a Solution Delivery Consultant. She was the one everyone went to with their questions and received many accolades for her performance.
Cindy's absence will leave an infinite void. She was an amazing listener and gave the warmest hugs. She did everything with her family in mind. She was full of positivity and put a smile on everyone's faces from her family and friends to the cashier at the grocery store. Her favorite saying was "every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day.". We ask that you honor and remember Cindy by "thinking on the bright side" and trying to put a smile on someone's face every day.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the wonderful team at the Medical ICU at Froedtert Hospital and at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice Home who took excellent care of Cindy in her final weeks.
We will celebrate Cindy's life on Saturday, March 16th at Schmidt and Bartelt funeral home in Wauwatosa with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to noon followed by a service.
