Carol L. Wenzler Obituary
Carol Wenzler, age 99, passed away peacefully on Dec. 28th, 2023 surrounded by loving family members. She was born on Jan 29th, 1924 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Louise and Anthony Kraus. Carol attended Messmer High School and Marquette University, earning a degree in business during WWII. She married Marty Wenzler in 1950 and was blessed with five children. Early in her career she worked in the accounting department for Boston Store. While raising her children she helped Marty in his business by managing his books. Later, with her love of fashion, she went to work for Marshall Fields for over 20 years. Everyone who knew Carol knew she loved gardening, baking, cross stitching, and her many pets. What brought her the most joy was spending time with her family and doing things for others. She was a volunteer at St. Jude's Thrift Shop and was an active member of the parish. Survivors include Greg (Jan) Wenzler, Patti Hartenbach, Sue (John) Foley, Jim (Amy) Wenzler, and Wendy Wenzler. Carol had ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren whom she adored. She will always be remembered for her love of God and her gentle and kind ways.
Visitation on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 734 Glenview Ave. in Wauwatosa. Private burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
