Carol A. Senkerik Obituary
Carol Senkerik (née Runnells), formerly of Wauwatosa, 86 years old, was welcomed into heaven on March 26, 2022 and is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Frank Senkerik.
She is survived by her adoring children John (Lynne) of Wauwatosa, Jeff (Jill) of Green Bay, Cathy Nguyen of Oak Creek, and Christine (Mark) Melendes of Chicago. She was a proud grandmother to Andrew Senkerik (Wauwatosa), Alyson Senkerik (Durham, NC), Ben Senkerik (Sussex), Rachel (Isaac) Mansur (Kenosha), Adam Guernsey (Milwaukee), Jenna Guernsey (Milwaukee), Sam Olson and Evan Nguyen (Oak Creek), and Leo Melendes (Chicago), and great grandmother of Madison Mansur (Kenosha).
Dear sister of Dwain Runnells, Ruth Schulz and William (Gert) Runnells. Further survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Runnells; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Dwain, Sr and Erna Runnells; her sister Lois Meyer; her brothers, George, Glenn, Richard, Donald and Eugene; her sisters-in-law, June and Joan Runnells, Dolores Dober; her brothers-in-law, Don Schulz, Earl Meyer, Ruben Dober and John Senkerik, Jr.
In addition, she was a beloved aunt and friend to dozens of nieces, nephews, extended family, and made friends wherever she went.
Her hobbies and interests always centered around bringing joy to others and manifested itself in ways that made her an endearing member of whatever community she joined. She could always be relied upon to bring homemade candy to family celebrations and was an enthusiastic helper to finish dozens of quilts and prayer shawls.
A lifelong Brewers and Packers fan she also recently picked up a love of hockey and could be spotted in the stands of the United Center in Chicago where she would cheer on her Blackhawks.
The last one to leave a party, Carol's life was full of joy and laughter, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial to be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Schmidt & Bartelt in Wauwatosa. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m.
