He was predeceased by: his parents, William Martin and Laura Martin (Edwards); his parents-in-law, Leo and Elsie Radtke (Menge); his siblings, Araline Gaylord (Clarence), Elaine Smith (Dwight Jr.), Calvin Martin, Harvey Martin (Carmen), Harold "Curt" Martin (Marlene) and Richard Martin; his parents-in-law, Lawrence Nighbor, Delores Kuharske (Ray), Alice Nighbor (Rueben), Beverly Nighbor, Joann Schliepp and Kenneth Schwersenska; and his godparents, Leona Fietz and Merritt.

He is survived by: his wife Dianna Radtke; his children, Cindy Mlodzik (Dennis) of Wautoma, Amy Detlor (Gordon) of Wautoma, Kim Mike (Steve) of Wautoma and Dean Martin (Naomi); his grandchildren, Leigh Mlodzik (Alissa), Justin Mlodzik (Kimberly), Gregory Mlodzik, John Detlor (Makena Guse), James Detlor, Jennifer Detlor, Jackie Detlor, Cassandra Brown (Paul), Jayson Steuck (Briana), Logan Mike and Aaron Martin; his great grandchildren, Drake Mlodzik, Kylee, Alivia Murkley, Rem Mlodzik and Jonathan Paul Brown (JP); his sister Cheryl Pica (Douglas Boettcher); and his parents-in-law, Barbara Martin, Myrna Martin, Rueben Nighbor, LeRoy Nighbor, Phebion Nighbor, Darlene Hunter (Jerry), Ardell Schwersenska and Iris Deuel (Jerry). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
