He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Schmidt and Mary Schmidt (Schwartz); his brother Jeffrey Schmidt; and his brother-in-law Bryce Grunow. He is survived by: his wife Susan B. Schmidt; his sisters, Janet Schmidt (John) and Judy Atkinson (Robert); and his sisters-in-law, Donna Grunow and Jeanne Frost (Trace). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
