He is survived by: his children, Dawn Wuerl (Mark), Diana Wellinghoff (Peter) and Gerald Draves Jr. Dear; and his grandchildren, Benjamin Wuerl (Lucy), Joseph Wuerl (Brittany), Andrew Wellinghoff (Casey), Holly Gerhardt, Elizabeth Duklas (Jamie), Adam Draves (Samantha), Thomas Wellinghoff (Lauren) and Amie Sundquist. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital appreciated.
