He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Kohnhorst and Gertrude Kohnhorst (Reissmann); his former wife Lois Steiner; his children, Michael, John Kohnhorst and Ann Holtz; and his siblings, Bob, Kurt Kohnhorst and Arletta Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Clarice; his children-in-law, Pam Kohnhorst, Lorrene Kohnhorst and Randall Holtz; his stepchildren, Kay Wiskofske (Shawn), Sue Roselius and Kurt Baumann; his grandchildren, Beth Zeinert (Jason), Heidi Guenther (Aaron), Alexandra Wiskofske (Anthony Fuller), Jessyka Wiskofske, Garrett, Lauren Roselius, Sara Unis (Nicholas), Ellen and Nathan Baumann; and his great grandchildren, Trevor, Tara, Taylor, Randi, Parks, Griffin, Sophia, Caroline, Jacob and Ian. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home (1302 N 6th St, Wausau, WI 54403). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, Wausau.
