She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Young and Margaret Young (Rank); her husband Fred (Fred); and her children, Mary Gustafson and Charles Hirn.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Denfeld, Fred, Thomas (Polly) and James Hirn; her children-in-law, Guy Gustafson and Mary Hirn; her grandchildren, Mark Gustafson (Lisa), Kristen Tuttle (Adam), Erica Wilhite (Matt), Peter Hirn (Kelly), Carrie VanderSloot (Taylor), Rebecca Snyder (Dan), Matt Hirn (Sarah) and Mitch Hirn; her great grandchildren, Michael, Benjamin, Stella, William Tuttle, Mason, Levi, Wyatt Hirn, Kane, Benson VanderSloot, Liam, Rory, Finn Snyder, Isaac and Theodore Hirn; and her siblings, Cleve Young, Olive Young, Ruth Raddatz, Etrel Haedt, Ethel Tank, Virginia Hoffmann, Delores Fredricks, Kenneth Young and Joan Pagel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (621 N 2nd St, Wausau, WI 54403). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice in Phyllis's name.
