She was predeceased by: her husband Kevin N. Newman; her father Charles Schwede; her siblings, Morris Schwede (Jenny) and Belvajean Tritten (Vernon); her son-in-law Thomas Mueller; and her siblings-in-law, Eugene Anderson and Phyllis Schwede.
She is survived by: her mother Mayme Schwede (Kittel); her children, Rodney Newman (Kay), Karen Boykins (Steve) and Nancy Mueller; her siblings, Delores Anderson, Edward Schwede (Shirley), Donald Schwede, Charles Schwede Jr. (Marjorie) and Billie Schwede; and her stepgrandchildren, Matthew Mackie (Julie) and Miranda Mackie. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to: Camp Blessing or Mission Evangelical Church.
