He was predeceased by : his parents, Lynn Olson and Alice Olson; and his siblings, Chuck Olson, Gene Olson and Marilyn Rem.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Olson; his son Tom Olson; his daughter-in-law Lynn Olson; his grandchildren, Amber and Andrew Olson; his sister Ruth Werner; and his brother-in-law Brandt Werner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First English Lutheran Church (402 N 3rd Ave, Wausau, WI 54401). A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
