He is survived by: his children, John D. Marshall (Elizabeth), Joellyn Mentink (Jeffrey) and Jeffrey Marshall (Jessica); his son-in-law Terrance Weaver; his grandchildren, Paige, Alexandra, Chase Marshall, Marcus, Mason Weaver, Zachary and Nolan Marshall; his stepgrandchildren, Jacqueline Mentink, Alyssa Thronson (Jacob) and Benjamin Mentink; his sister Judith Alveshere (Orville); his sisters-in-law, Janel Heroff (John) and JoAnn Nick; and his caregivers, Keri Lehmann, Lisa Eckel, Sarah Jacobson and Ingleside Manor. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
