Iris Diel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 20, 2025, at the age of 81, Iris Diel of Wausau, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Hanke and LaVera Hanke (Brandt); her husband John; and her siblings, Gerald Hanke (Dawn) and Mercedes Myszkowski (Jerome).
She is survived by: her children, Scott Jansa (Denise) and Brenda Laffin (Dennis); her grandchildren, Cory Jansa (Shelby), Cameron Jansa (Katie) and Evan Laffin; her great grandchildren, Madi and Carson; her siblings, Eunice Stark (Leroy) and Virgil Hanke; and her sisters-in-law, Florence Diel and Mary Haash. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (1101 Elm St, Wausau, WI 54401). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
