He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Stencil and Lucille Stencil (Soczka); his former wife Sharon Kaiser; his in-laws, Ralph and Martha Kaiser; and his siblings, Kenneth Stencil and Louise Wardecke.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Schuld (Wiesman); and his siblings, Howard Stencil, Daniel Stencil (Darlene) and Lorraine Megal. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Catholic School, Edgar, WI.
