It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alan D. Mallo of Wausau, Wisconsin, born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryce "Bud" Mallo and Marian Mallo; and his brother Craig Mallo. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Mallo; his daughters, Renee Wadzinski (Adam) of Maine, WI and Samantha Diedrich (Tucker) of Kronenwetter, WI; his grandchildren, Avery Rae Wadzinski and Trevor Alan Diedrich; his sisters, Sharlene "Chicker" Mallo-Burch and Summer Cody (Bradley); and his pets, Biscuit and Rufus. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Because blood transfusions are critical to managing MDS, you can remember Alan by donating blood to your local blood bank. Remembrances can also be made through contributions to the Raptor Education Group, Inc. (REGI) to support wildlife rehabilitation and education.
