He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Wendt and Jane Wendt; his former wife Carol; and his stepdaughter Melissa Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Loni Sandvig of Waupun; his children, Aaron Wendt (Abigail) of Tulsa and Sarah Zavatchin (Caleb) of Oostburg; his grandchildren, Jamison "JJ", Westin, Taya, Nya, Elijah and Mary; his stepsons, Josh Hanson (Brooke) of Eau Claire and Matt Hanson (Anna Yeo) of New York; his siblings, Carol Schulze (Fred), Jim Wendt (Jeanne), Gary Wendt (Claire) and Donna Michalkiewicz; and his brothers-in-law, Rick Sandvig (Marybeth) and Dean Sandvig (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
